Pristine Homes is a blog series dedicated to celebrating unique home decor ideas and interior designs that the Pristine Community has to offer.
This feature covers the home of Singaporean couple Yumei & Jing Hao. Living within the walls of a 93 sqm 4-room HDB apartment, we can certainly say that they've done a great job in utilizing the limited space with their open kitchen and dining concept!
Can you tell us abit more about yourself?
Yumei: Hello! We are pretty much the average Singaporean couple.. celebrated two major milestones during the pandemic- getting married (after ten years together!) and moving into our first home. Both of us are in brand marketing & communications by day, and professional Netflixers by night. ;) Every evening, we look forward to wind down with good TV, drinks and a scented candle of our choice.
Describe to us your home decor style?
Yumei: Our home decor style can be described as a polished Mid-Century Modern. We refrained from having too many loose pieces and opted for a good amount of carpentry. One of our favourite furniture purchases though, is our rattan armchair from Cellini. It is the only rattan furniture we have in the home and brings softness to the metallic elements of our theme.
Rattan accents of Ameijing home adds to a very rustic contemporary vibe.
What are some of your favourite scents?
Yumei: We tend to gravitate towards woody and earthy scents, and are huge fans of using candles and reed diffusers around the home.

Tell us what you like about Pristine?
Yumei: We like how Pristine fragrances are designed so elegantly that they can be matched with any part of our home effortlessly. From the Signature Scent Series, we particularly enjoyed Himalayan Tea that is refreshing and very memorable.

Tell us how you use Pristine.
Yumei: As our own rule of thumb, we tend to use stronger and refreshing scents for our bathrooms, while leaving the more subtle and earthy notes for areas of winding down and relaxation.
Yumei places a Pristine diffuser by her bedside table. It sits nicely next to a wooden backboard and spherical lamp.
