Pristine: Can you tell us abit more about yourselves? (e.g. what do you do for fun or to relax?)
Jae Wen: We are a couple in the tech and renovation space, living together with our one year old baby. As a family, we love to explore new activities and places together.
Pristine: Describe to us your home decor style (and your home inspirations)
Jae Wen: We wanted our home that grows organically with us, especially with our baby’s growing needs. We love a vibrant and colourful home and a place where we could take a piece of our travelling adventures to decorate our home.
Pristine: How did you come up with the inspirations before your renovation? How did you pitch to your ID your dream house?
Jae Wen: I was scrolling through a lot on Xiao Hong Shu to put up a moodboard, I love how bold and quirky the homeowners on Xiao Hong Shu are (something that I don’t see that often in Singapore at the point of renovation) and we decided to have that in our home. As my husband is in the renovation space, he’s the contractor, while I play the ID role!
Pristine: Which is your favourite area of your home and why?
Jae Wen: Living room!! It’s where we can lounge and relax, having meaningful conversations with the people close to us.
Pristine: How do you style your home, and what do you look out for when you buy home decor pieces?
Jae Wen: We made a point to keep fixed fittings to the minimum and be timeless, and our movable furniture and decor express the pop of colours for us.
Pristine: When it comes to scents, what are some of your favourites?
Jae Wen: I love scents that are light, refreshing, and most importantly tie us back to happy memories.
Pristine: Tell us what you like about Pristine? (any particular scents or aesthetic)
Jae Wen: We’ve been a fan of ECI range! It’s light, and the vanilla note is our favourite.
Pristine: Tell us how you use Pristine (e.g. which scents/products are better for which rooms)
Jae Wen: We keep alternating between the living room and home office (I guess I need to cart out another reed diffuser soon!!!). And the ball diffuser is very suited for enclosed spaces like shoe cabinets and wardrobes to leave a lasting scent on our clothes, and having the scent accompany us everywhere we go!

My favourite Pristine scent would be the English Country Inn that has a sweet floral scent that never gets old. I especially love how their Reed Diffusers have a long lasting scent even after putting them out for months, unlike other brands which I have tried.

We use the English Country Inn Reed Diffuser in our MBR (Master Bedroom). This scent with a good mix of light floral and vanilla smell that gives a very refreshing and comforting feel.
